Zikaron Basalon

Ruth Rosenfeld is a child survivor of the Holocaust. Born in Wadowice, Poland, Ruth was orphaned before the age of three.
She survived the Nazi horrors hidden with a Christian family. In 1949 Ruth was brought to America by her adopted family.
She is married and has three children and six grandchildren.
Ruth has been a volunteer in many communal organizations, including the mental health
Service and the Jewish Federation where she served as president.
She is also the founder of “Project Understanding” ,a dialogue group between Arabs and Jews.
She has a strong commitment to Israel’s security and travels there frequently.
